Our permanent teeth are supposed to be our life-long partners, but sometimes tooth extraction is necessary.

Dr. Robert A. McCulla generally offers tooth extraction in Turlock, California, if you are experiencing one or more of the following situations:

  • A severely decayed tooth
  • A crowded mouth
  • Infection
  • High risk of infection
  • Periodontal disease

We are happy to offer this service to you to ultimately improve your overall oral health. We understand that tooth extraction can be a little scary, but we are happy to give you a pleasant and peaceful experience with dental sedatives and a calming, relaxing office environment.

After your tooth has been extracted, your dentist strongly recommends resting for the next couple of days. Your mouth needs to heal, and in order to do so, you need to rest, ice the area, and refrain from using straws or eating hard foods. We will also prescribe pain killers to you to dull the pain and help you feel comfortable and relaxed. While you are resting, you will have gauze pads on the area where the tooth was pulled. When the pad fills with blood, we ask that you replace it with a clean one.

If you have any problems after your tooth has been pulled, please do not be afraid to call Turlock Dental Care.
