Digital X-rays

Turlock Dental Care is proud to offer digital x-rays to provide images of your teeth. Digital technology works directly with computer software to upload images that are accurate and of high quality. These images allow our doctors to examine areas of your mouth carefully, and provide a quick and accurate diagnosis.

During your exam, a sensor will be gently placed in your mouth. The sensor will work directly with our computer-aided technology to produce digital images instantly while you relax in the exam chair. The process is painless and easy, and images are ready quickly for our doctors to review.

Using this technology can allow our team of doctors to address any issues with your smile early on, and avoid future complications. Digital x-rays are safe and reduce radiation exposure compared to other traditional x-ray technology. Our digital system makes it easy to store each patient’s records and transfer the records easily. Records can be easily compared from prior digital images, and have the ability to highlight differences to further enhance the image. This feature helps to identify changes in your oral health.

Laser Dentistry

Turlock Dental Care is happy to be able to offer the benefits of laser dentistry to our patients. Laser dentistry can help patients remain relaxed and pain-free during an appointment. This saves time and the records are stored electronically for future reference and review. The process allows the patient to breathe and swallow easily, and treatment can start and stop if the patient needs a break.

CT Scanner

Turlock Dental Care offers CT scanning technology to all of our patients. This technology uses a cone beam-type x-ray to take 3-dimensional facial images. CT scanning includes images of your teeth, tissues, nerves, and bone. The process is easy and does not require any preparation. During your appointment, the scanner will rotate around your head to take a 360-degree image. The process can take between 20-40 seconds and is painless. These CT images allow our doctors to see areas that traditional x-rays cannot provide, and help our team to create the very best treatment plan.

CT scanners are safe and reduce radiation exposure to produce quality and precise imaging. Doctors can view single or multiple images and angles to help with complex cases, diagnoses, and treatment. Images are stored digitally and records can be sent out or transferred easily.

Intraoral Cameras

Turlock Dental Care is proud to offer intra-oral camera technology for our patients. This technology provides the ability to capture images of your teeth and mouth in hard-to-reach areas. Intra-oral cameras can detect problems in areas that can not be seen by the naked eye. This can help detect issues early on and prevent complications in the future.

During your appointment, our doctors will use a small pen-like device to scan your mouth and take images.
