We are in our third week of the new normal. I am missing what was normal: a busy office full of our great team members, wonderful patients, talking, laughing, helping our community maintain their health and making beautiful smiles! Mostly I miss is seeing all of you, our great patients that we have come to know and love over these almost 37 years!
I want to assure you we are here for. During this time, we are open for emergency dental care for you, our established patients, and also for those that don’t yet have a happy dental home. It has been very satisfying to meet so many wonderful new patients and help them get out of pain. It makes us feel good to hear the nice compliments on how we treated them and even be called “heroes.” There are some real heroes out there: in the hospitals, emergency care facilities, and in the businesses that are open for us during this time. We are here doing what we love to do. We are doing this so our emergency facilities will not be overburdened with dental emergencies.
As always, your safety and ours continues to be our top concern. We maintain our office to the highest protective standards to keep you safe! We are taking extra precautions at this time. Like I said, we are just seeing emergency patients at this time. We are asking that our patients come to their appointments alone. If you are having any symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath), stay home and seek the care of your physician. When you arrive, we will ask you to use the hand sanitizer. We are constantly cleaning the surfaces throughout our office.
There is a lot of talk now about “Social Distancing” but I feel we really need to word it as “Physical Distancing.” We need to keep ourselves, our families, our teams, and our communities physically healthy and that means some physical space right now. Individually, this a good time to establish a routine, a pattern to life, for how life is right now. Avoid the news, download an exercise program, get away from the computer screen, and take a walk. At the same time, don’t create Social Distance. In the past I viewed social media as something that interfered with interpersonal contact. But, right now, we can use Facebook, Instagram, Facetime, Zoom, or whatever the media, to maintain connections or rekindle some old ones. Let’s try to maintain some normalcy.
At Turlock Dental Care we are making plans for coming back together and coming back better. During this time of physical distancing, we have been working on new ways to help you and we are very excited about two new “virtual” additions!
The first is Smile Virtual. Here, you can ask me about your cosmetic dentistry concerns and wants. We have made it very simple to use. Tell me what you think, upload a face and smile selfie, and I will send you a personalized treatment recommendation video. On our website, you can access this at www.turlockdentalcare.com where you will see the “Get a Virtual Consult from Dr. McCulla” link and a “Get Started” button. You can also get directly to this page here: https://app.smilevirtual.com/Dr-Robert-Mcculla. We would love you to take advantage of this and please share it with your family and friends!
Our second new virtual platform is the one that is very important right now, and we call it OnCall Dental Urgent Care. We are available for emergency dental care. You can call our office number, 209-667-7889, or use the website to reach us with your dental emergency –www.turlockdentalcare.com – look for the “Get a Virtual Consult from Dr. McCulla” link and hit “Get Started” button or go directly to https://app.smilevirtual.com/Dr-Robert-Mcculla. Use it the same way as with the Smile Virtual: Tell me your problem, upload your photo selfies, and I will contact you.
I miss you all! We love and appreciate you! And, I would love to hear from you! Let us know how you are doing. How can we help you? Give me your ideas! Email us at [email protected] or give us a call at 209-667-7889.
